Results of the 9th edition of ITS LEADER 2018

The main purpose of the ITS LEADER competition is to promote initiatives for the development of friendly ITS technologies in Poland, especially innovative and efficient products-devices, implementations and scientific solutions. The Ministry of Infrastructure is the patron of the competition.
Like in the previous years, the finale of the 9th edition of the ITS LEADER competition was an important event. For the ninth time, the ITS LEADER 2018 statuette was awarded to projects and tasks implemented in 2017 in four categories:
• the best product-device implemented by ITS companies,
• the best implementation of projects/actions by state and local government agencies and institutions,
• the best scientific research project,
• the best thesis or dissertation of a university graduate.
The competition Jury: Prof. Wojciech Suchorzewski, President, Prof. Jerzy Mikulski, Marek Litwin, PhD Eng, Jacek Oskarbski PhD, Eng, Marek Rolla, MSc Eng, and Piotr Krukowski, MSc, selected the following winners of each category.
ITS LEADER 2018 statuettes were awarded at the Gala that took place after the first day of talks of the 11th POLISH ITS CONGRESS. The sponsor of the award ceremony was Kapsch Telematic Services. The competition winners received their statuettes and distinctions from Mr Jacek Gryga, General Director for National Roads and Motorways. The host of the award ceremony was Kapsch Telematic Services.

The ITS LEADER 2018 statuette was awarded for the multi-sensor station for testing human-machine interfaces (HMI)
The best implementation by the public sector
General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways
The ITS LEADER 2018 statuette was awarded for implementing the National Access Point service for traffic information
The best scientific research project
